A Visual Work Environment

Briefs is made for visual thinkers. You can use your own art, or use the libraries of stock components we provide. You slice your mockups into individual sprites or import a flattened comp and add hotspots. We have a simulator on the Mac, or you can preview briefs right on your device using BriefsLive. With BriefsLive you can see and touch your changes in real time, while you work.

Animate your designs

Use Briefs to move through different screens in your app, animating along the way. We've included six different transitions to help you get started. Each transition supports multiple directions and a customizable duration. Additionally, individual elements (sprites) can be transformed, rotated and moved at the touch of a button. We call them actors because they add behavior to your mockups and can trigger actions.

Give a demo on iPhone, iPad or Android

Plenty of tools let you fake interactive demos with web technologies, but they can just approximate the feel of a native app. Only Briefs let you create prototypes with the animation performance and responsive interaction of a native application. You can also use our free app Briefscase to share your prototypes with friends and colleagues.

Scene Chooser Each screen in your app can be represented by a scene, shown here. Navigate your brief using this list

Position and Geometry Using our adaptive layouts, you can position any element by anchoring it to an edge of the screen, plus an offset.

Stock Libraries Stock components for iOS7, Android and desktop included. Also a generic blueprint style of components for quick sketches.
Overview Overview mode provides a 10,000 ft. view of your brief. See all of the high-level interactions and paths your design can take. Double click on any scene to open it in the scene editor.
Blueprint Blueprint mode helps automate some of the annotations a developer will need to build your design.
